July, 11 – Held alongside the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2025 in Rome, “Ukraine’s Recovery: Untapped Opportunities for the Private Sector” was a high-level side-event designed to turn global attention toward concrete, actionable investment opportunities supporting Ukraine’s reconstruction.

Organised by DataDriven Research & Consulting, Advantage Capital Partners, and the Bloomsbury Intelligence & Security Institute (BISI), the event created a dedicated space for business leaders, investors, and policymakers to engage with Ukraine’s emerging private-sector opportunities—moving the conversation from ideas to investable deals.

The programme included two high-level panel discussions designed to provide both strategic context and sector-level investment insights.

Panel I — Leveraging the Current Economic, Political and Financial Outlook. This session examined Ukraine’s evolving macroeconomic conditions, wartime risks, and policy efforts to build investor confidence.

Panel II — Ukraine’s Recovery: Partaking in the Reconstruction. The second panel focused on practical investment pathways, with leaders sharing on-the-ground perspectives about sectors poised for scalable investment.

Among speakers were: Kurt Volker, Former U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine; Pavlo Kukhta, Former Acting Minister of Economic Development of Ukraine; Kuninori Matsuda, Former Ambassador of Japan to Ukraine, Advisory Board Member at DTEK; Svitlana Mykhailovska, Deputy Head of the European Business Association;  Vanessa Russano, Secretary General, Italian Chamber of Commerce for Ukraine (CCIPU); Prof. Gianluca Duretto, Executive Fintech & Blockchain Expert, Unit Rome; Serhii Voitsekhovskyi, Board Member, BGV Group; Giuseppe Carrella, President, CLUBTI Milano & WWG Group.

The Ukrainian DealBook

A key feature of the event was the official launch of the Ukrainian DealBook (UDB) –a curated portfolio of over 20 investable projects across sectors including construction materials, agriculture, FMCG, critical materials, pharmaceuticals, logistics, and energy. Representing a total pipeline exceeding $3 billion, the DealBook addresses critical information gaps and offers investors a clear, structured view of opportunities supporting Ukraine’s economic recovery.

Ukrainian DealBook (UDB) is a new tool for strategic investors, developed by DataDriven in partnership with Advantage Capital Partners. It offers a carefully curated selection of M&A and joint-venture opportunities across Ukraine’s key economic sectors.

Key features of the UDB include:

  1. Exclusive focus on established, cash-generating businesses and investment-ready joint ventures;
  2. Exclusion of early-stage concepts lacking capital or operational expertise, ensuring only scalable, vetted ventures;
  3. Sponsorship by credible Ukrainian partners with proven track records and co-investment commitments;
  4. Tailored design for strategic and portfolio investors seeking to support Ukraine’s post-war reconstruction and EU-integration.
