DataDriven delivers a series of lectures in Tokyo on Ukraine-Japan defence cooperation

During the last two weeks, our Senior Advisor Kuninori Matsuda, former Ambassador of Japan to Ukraine, delivered a series of lectures in Japan.

The first sessions took place at the Defense Academy, followed by a lecture for business leaders hosted by Showa Women’s University under the leadership of President Dr. Mariko Bando.

The discussions focused on the rapid transformation of Ukraine’s defence technology ecosystem, particularly in unmanned systems, and on concrete avenues for Ukraine–Japan cooperation across defence and dual-use industries.

The strong engagement from both military and business audiences reflects growing strategic interest in deeper, structured collaboration between Japan and Ukraine in the security and technology domains.
